We have leaflets on hand for people to distribute door-to-door, at tables in markets & busy areas, in workplaces & community groups, and more.

Mass Protest to Stop the Ford Government’s Privatization of Our Public Hospitals’ Core Services

12 noon on Monday, September 25, 2023 at Queen’s Park in Toronto

Join people from across Ontario as we join together to send a clear message to the Ford government that we are unalterably opposed to the privatization of our public hospitals.

This mass protest is taking place on the re-opening the Legislature. The Ford government has chosen the date of the re-opening of the Legislature and it falls on Yom Kippur. We are working with our members in the Jewish community to mark this and make accommodations. We will share more details as they are organized.

Province-Wide Community Referendum

On Friday, May 26 and Saturday, May 27, a mass citizen-run vote took place across Ontario asking Ontarians: “Do you want our public hospital services to be privatized to for-profit hospitals and clinics?

This was in response to the Ontario Government legislation, Bill 60, which will cut core public health services, including surgeries and diagnostics and privatize them to for-profit clinics and for-profit hospitals.

6,584 people in Halton voted. 99% of these votes were against the privatization of our public hospitals.
